  My husband and I had just returned from a week-long visit to Sonoma and Napa in early September. And we were nostalgic for a place that is not our home, yet we wished once more for the sight of vineyards sprinkling the valleys and mountains, the scent of the crush in the air, the wineries, big and small, and their stories, meeting people who are living their dream, or carrying on a family legacy, and of course, the amazing wines.
